Hello there, I'm looking to perhaps do a couple of werewolves suits and go down to the MCM london Expo with a friend in May 2013. However we never done this sort of thing before and i came across a ton of rules and regs for costumes. So i'm looking for a bit of hand holding here on does and don'ts for this thing.
I'd be glad to help, but just so that you know I'm still in the process of making my own werewolf suit as well for a university project, right now I can only offer help on making gloves, tails and static masks (no moving jaw) either out of modroc or latex and sell mask supplies; I have some very realistic taxidermy-quality wolf noses for sale at very good prices if you plan to make your own mask.

I also have a book listing the '10 costume-commandments' if you're new to going to cons, knowing these 10 rules on what to do and what not to do at a con will really help you out, and some of them are vital to know for your safety and others' safety. So what can UK-costumers help you with?
Hi there,

I am thinking about entering the London Marathon in 2013 and doing it in a quadsuit. I was just wondering if you could put up a journal or something for me, asking members of your group who regularly quadsuit to answer a few questions for me.

Basically the marathon is 26 miles/42 kilometres. I know I cannot do it in one day, but how much do people who quadsuit think is a reasonable amount to do in one day? How long do they regularly wear the suits for?
I would also like to know about any sort of exercises they do, or would recommend doing in order to train for the marathon?
How they keep hydrated, and if they have any suggestions for me to keep hydrated, that would be good?
And lastly, do they think it is possible, with the right kind of training.

Thank you so much.

I wouldn't recommend in running the marathon in a quadsuit... the head, the body padding and the stilts are all heavy and, after a while, awkward to wear! You may try asking another group here on dA called Quadsuits and Furries - they have a lot of quadsuit makers / wearers that will help you out.
I wouldn't really recommend running a marathon in any form of fursuit really due to the risk of overheating. But I will post a journal with your questions so we can get the opinions of others
